Bromley Green FC sends congratulations to Ben Davies on his 21st birthday

The Green Reserves who reignited their title challenge today
Bromley Green firsts are unlucky to go down 2-1 at Bearsted…a string of missed chances, a first half penalty appeal turned down, a late equaliser ruled out for offside … surely our luck has to change soon! Everybody gave maximum effort but next week’s visit of theĀ ’old enemy’ Milton now takes on monumental importance. Some consoling news: Coney Hall and Snodland both lost as well.
Meanwhile at the Swan Ground, the seconds were taking the points from a 1-0 victory over Larkfield & New Hythe to move up to 6th in the table. Reporter Phil Wedge enthused it was a ‘stunner’ from Lee Milton that decided the affair. Next week the boys travel to face third placed Oakwood Reserves and with ten games remaining and a whole batch of sides in with a shout of honours, this isĀ another must-win clash. A mixed day for our local friends, with Kennington’s seconds beating Oakwood Reserves 2-1 but Lydd Reserves losing 3-0 at the University of Kent.
Other results involving our neighbours: New Romney Reserves went out of the Eastern Reserves Division Cup, losing their away quarter final with Greenways Reserves 2-1; Lydd despite new management went down 4-1 at home to AFC Shepway while Kennington shared the spoils from a 2-2 home draw with Staplehurst.
