SATURDAY FIRST
On Saturday the Saturday 1st team open our season with a Weald of Kent Charity Cup game at home against local rivals Tenterden. Our pre-season has seen good numbers for training and 2 wins and a defeat from our friendlies, has enabled me to see where our strengths and weakenesses lie. We have lost a couple of players from last season’s squad, but also made some good new signings to bolster the squad. My aim for the season is simple, to win promotion back to the premier. We will start as one of the favourites, a different pressure from last year, but with the experience we gained as a team last year, I will hope this side, with its existing and new players can develop into a real force in the County League. My view of the club at the moment is that there has been a lot of work done in this close season and now there are four strong looking sides being developed to hopefully put this great club back in the position to be challenging for all the top honours and show all that Bromley Green are on the up and up. Squad: C.Smith; B.Davies, M.Doyle, M.Hadlum, M.Davies, A.Mercer, M.Howells, G.Mackett, R.Smith, L.Hayles, L.Milton, A.Webster, C.Howells, T.Poyner, C.Norman, A.Wood.
