Saturday 30 January 2010

Pictured [ties and all] at Saturday’s ‘Sod Turning Ceremony’ at the Swan Ground [the youth centre is to be called Waterside by the way] are the Green representatives. The event marked the beginning of a new era at the ground with the club looking forward to working alongside its local community partners. A more detailed account will follow. Thanks are expressed to photographer David Worsley for kindly taking/supplying photos.

    Good picture Dave.

I know what it’s like in South Willesborough having lived there for so long – leave this bunch of “old sods” wandering aimlessly for long enough and one is bound to get “turned over”

Thats my entry for the “caption competition”

We look forward to seeing you both. If you see any of the old boys (pardon the expression but you know what I mean) please put them in touch with me. Andy? I don’t know where most of them live now Chris. I am sure we will get a great turn out once word spreads.
