Late result from yesterday just in: Kennington Res 2 Bromley Green Res 3 [see Match Reports]
Most eyes were on the Kent Sunday Cup games today and it was a mixed bag of results for local sides with Market Hotel progressing thanks to a 2-1 victory over Kennington. Craig Southen and Liam Whiting netted for Market [who are now away to Borden Park Wanderers] with Mike Ward replying. At Charing Heath, Bliby were well beaten by Tonbridge outfit Artois and Mike Drabble’s side now travel to Dartford to meet GSA in the next round. Richard Boorman claimed the consolation score for the Ashford team in a 4-1 defeat. It is looking good for Bethersden who had Shane Sims (2), Tim Sims and Joe Duke on target in a 4-1 Ashford Premier Division success at Mersham. Mark Howells notched for the home side. In the Kent Junior Trophy, a great day for Ryan Mills and his Ashford Victoria side as they hammered Ebbsfleet 5-0 but no such luck for William Harvey [1-0 defeat to Isted] or Marsh Athletic who came unstuck 5-1 against Park Regis in Sittingbourne.
What a great weekend for Bromley Green, it is the best I have seen the Sunday first’s play this year. Hatcham coming forward looked very dangerous. They keeper was pants dropped everything. Ryan had a brilliant game. As did all the greens.
I see Alan Walker and Lloyd Hume have resigned from Maidstone United it is also reported that Ashford Town players have not been paid again.
