Kingstonian 2 Margate 1
The Ks came from behind to beat Margate 2-1 on Monday night and as a result move up to eighth in the Ryman Premier table and within five points of a play-off spot. For Margate, it is looking increasingly as though a mid-table finish is their destiny this season.
The Gate rattled a post in the first minute through Adam Burchell who continued to threaten throughout in what turned out to be an end-to-end contest.
Tommy Murphy, signed from Horsham last week, put the Kent team ahead nine minutes into the second half and he twice came close to restoring the lead after Sam Clayton’s 63rd-minute equaliser. Ks had the final say, clinching their third successive victory when Ryan Woods struck with six minutes left. The crowd at Kingsmeadow Stadium: 278.

Training for juniors on Tuesday is 5pm at Waterside with training for seniors 6.45pm meet for 7pm prompt start at the 3G. Clubhouse opens at 4pm for the duration and we will be showing CSKA Moscow v Real Madrid and Napoli v Chelsea.
