Green into Charity Final but Reserves held to home draw
Our hosts were most complimentary as the Sunday firsts fielded several rising stars who, in the words of the Brews, ‘did the club proud’ as a place was booked in the Ashford Charity Trophy final with a 5-0 win at Hopes Grove. The Green will meet the winners of the Kennington v Essembee semi final.
Meanwhile, at Waterside, the seconds were made to pay for missed opportunities as Egerton gamely fought back from 2-1 down to share the points from a 2-2 draw. A sporting game well controlled by Dave Olsen [right] with plenty of action at both ends. Terry Perk notched twice to take his tally for the weekend to six.
