Executive meeting Sunday at 6pm
Internal notice: apologies for the short notice but there will be a short meeting of the Executive at 6pm on Sunday to discuss specific topics … members are asked to attend if at all possible
Happy birthday Harry!
The club sends its best wishes for a happy birthday to Vice President Harry Hills who is 49 today. Harry joined the club at the age of 14 from South Ashford Youth Club and went on to make 702 senior appearances and score 82 goals. When he retired from playing, Harry was part of Clive Cook’s successful management team before leaving the area and calling it a day.
Seniors on course for higher qualifications
Three of our senior members are engaged in CPD activities this weekend with Terry Perk [left] taking his Coaching for Adults Course and Dalbs and The Beast having three solid days on their FA Level 2 programme at Bearsted.
Local tournament action this week for the youngsters is at Homelands with the Under 10s entering two sides on Saturday morning and Tony Gawler taking his new Under 12 lads in the afternoon. On Sunday, attention turns to the older boys with the Under 14s in the morning and the Under 15s and 16s in the afternoon.
The big games on the box will be on TV at the ground as usual.
