21 July 2012
Eltham Palace v Bromley Green
By Dave Smith
On Saturday we travel to Kidbrooke to take on Eltham Palace in our first pre- season friendly. Eltham who finished 3rd behind us in the Kent County League have now been promoted the Kent Invicta League due to their ground meeting the league requirements.
Being our first run out of the season it will all be about getting our fitness levels and match sharpness up, the league season will soon be here a lot quicker than I personally think a lot of people realise.
Training has been poorly attended and that is a fact, not only by the first team regulars from last season but also from people I thought would want to make an effort to get into the first team this season.
The squad for this game will not be announced as it appears there are several players unavailable so extra players will be bought in. Youngsters James Whyte [left] and Byron Price will both be involved and it will be exciting to see if they can come in and make an impact with the side
During the summer we have lost Matt Hadlum to Ashford United but so far as far as I have been told all other regular first team players from last season will be staying.
So away we go again, we did well last season but this season I will still be looking to improve, so now is the time for all the players to start putting the effort and commitment in to ensure our position as the number 1 side inKentis maintained.
Players are to meet at the club by 11am to travel to Kidbrooke for a 1pm kick off; we will not be using the mini bus and will travel up by cars.

The Saturday first team kit is sponsored by
