Plans to expand number of youth teams
In addition to our two thriving Under 10 teams, we have many boys and girls that love training at least twice a week at the club. With this in mind, the intention is to expand our youth provision with more teams in competitive football leagues by next season. We are anticipating adding two Under 11s, Under 12s, U13s, U15s and hopefully Under 16s. The club is increasing its CPD activities to ensure qualified coaches/managers for all of the teams. All our staff involved with children and young people possess FA CRB clearance. We will be advertising managerial vacancies for some age groups and the club will help with CRB forms/payment.
In August 2011 a few lads showed an interest in playing for the club and started attending training on a regular basis. Unfortunately they were too old for our U10s and too young for our adult sides.
Not to be outdone the lads agreed to get together a group of players with a view to entering a few tournaments, perhaps some friendlies and then enter the league next year. It is now a case of waiting before we start preparing during the summer for next season.
