Green retain Bodkin Cup/Sunday round-up

Mackett and Holman star as Green win Bodkin Cup again
The Bodkin Cup remains at Waterside after a 3-1 victory over Bethersden at Homelands on Sunday. A brilliant run and ‘low and hard’ from Liam Holman brought the Green level after a patchy opening that saw them go behind before second half goals from inspirational captain Glenn Mackett and livewire Gary Lockyer settled the issue. A well deserved win for the Green and thanks go to the fantastic support of the youngsters from our youth teams. Congratulations to Jimmy Adams of the Den who was awarded man of the match but for me our legendary skipper Macca was a class above anything on the pitch. DH.
