If it was ‘Super Saturday afternoon’, it was definitely ‘Sad Sunday morning’ for the Green senior sides. A KCL win against the odds over APM Reserves, the first points the Maidstone lads have dropped this season, and a splendid Ashford League Cup victory at Smarden by the Thirds was the perfect first half of the weekend. However, the Sabbath was a shocker and a 6-3 home defeat by Ashford Dynamo added to a 4-2 loss at Bethersden by the first team really says it all although the managers’ summaries will no doubt go deeper.

What a contrast in the afternoon when our table-topping Under 16s recorded an 11-1 win over Highfield and the Under 15s came from behind to beat Faversham Town Juniors 3-2. Reports can be read by hovering over the Youth Football tab and clicking on the relevant age group.
