Sunday fixtures/Complete round-up of Saturday’s games

Another Green lad gains his first FA Coaching Badge

Congratulations are extended to Reece Cahalane [left] who on Saturday achieved his Level 1 Coaching Award. Reece, who currently assists Dave Andrews with the Under 16s, will be supported by the club to continue his professional development within the game. Reece, who recently passed Emergency First Aid and Safeguarding Children courses,  joins a growing band of young members who have gained qualifications and will gradually be integrated into the coaching set-up at the club. These include Aaron Neil, Martyn Dalby, Wilson Guest, Ryan Cherry; while Shqipron has started out with gaining the Emergency First Aid award and Erica and Claire [well, you are still quite young ladies!] are also embarking on a number of programmes as they become integral to our progression.

We also of course have a long list of adults who are on the qualifications ladder and it is pleasing that ace defender Mickey Doyle [left] has committed himself long-term to the club and planning is now under way for his pathway into coaching. Mickey will begin with the younger element but hopes in time to coach at adult level.

Youth teams all improving

10.11.2012 U13s McDonalds Player of the Match Ki Montgomery with Tony Gawler
Message to players from Tony Gawler re Under 13s  Training
Training will be on Tuesdays only until further notice.
Training will start at 17:30 until approximately 18:30. Please bring trainers and boots.

Some terrific performances from our youth sides on Saturday with Ryan Harris and Zac Cowley on target as the Under 11s came back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at Pilgrims. And, it was Zac’s first goal with his left foot! All the details and reports from the managers will follow … hover on the youth tab and click on the respective age group.

10.11.2012 The U11 Colts gained a creditable draw and here Player of the Match Cade Ross is seen with Duncan Randall

This afternoon, we stage two attractive East Kent Youth League matches at Waterside with the Under 16s welcoming Thanet Colts and the Under 15s entertaining Whitstable Town. Both games kick off at 2pm and all are welcome to support and watch the big games on the TV in the clubhouse.

But first, it is Kent Sunday Cup action as our seniors welcome Tonbridge Origin from the West Kent Sunday League in the Premier Cup and the seconds meet neighbours Shadoxhurst in the Junior Cup. As it is Remembrance Sunday, both ties have an 11.05 start.
