Good luck to all our teams playing this weekend … and enjoy!
We look forward to a weekend of mixed football activities, opening with the U8s who travel early doors to the Snowdown & Aylesham tournament. The squad continues to grow and the McDonalds sponsored children look to be in for an enjoyable season. Grant Turner takes an U10 side to face Grasshoppers while Ian Mace and Ashley Webster face a tough away match at Lenham. Meeting and kick off times are on the Events & Fixtures page.

On Sunday, the BG Valiants stage a friendly tournament featuring the U16s and Adult teams. Please note there is no training for the younger age groups today. The long haul back to former Sunday League glories begins with the visit of Shepway Spartans (kick off 10.30am). Eight players unavailable and/or injured affords the opportunity to give youngsters their chance and former Green U15s Liam Dadd and Layton Bryant return to the club whilst we welcome new signing Archie Cumpper. We are in action again on Tuesday with another tough test against Canterbury-based Kingsmead Knights (6.15pm). Kurtis Hooper, Dan Lord and Josh Twyman are amongst those who will be added to the squad for the midweek game. Unfortunately, the U15 Colts away game with Kennington Juniors has been cancelled.

Happy 50th birthday on Sunday to Thomas Habgood!

Midweek match report for U13s from Charlie Fletcher
We put out a brand new team with lots of players making their debuts: Brayden, Dom, Ben, Harry and Anuj. We should have easily won or drew but had numerous referee decisions against us. Ben had a great game in goal and on pitch as did Dom and Anuj who put in lots of effort. Harry also had a good game Thanks to Ted, Lorenzo, Lennon, Frankie for the continued effort. We were short  of players with Rex absent and Jasper and Callum unable to make it. Player of the Match goes to Brayden for an amazing game as well as an excellent goal despite the fact he was also injured and limping for much of the match.

Editor: McDonalds vouchers were presented to Orlando, Joe H and Pacey while Brayden has a £5 club voucher. But well done to all the players who shone in the summer sunshine.
