Thomas reports on the U8 Colts at St Michaels
What a game much better than last week but still needs lots of work. Only had six players yet again still play like pack of wild dogs which is good as you all give it 100% after the ball. That what this game was like that I cannot say anything they were all great but need to remember where they should be when playing.
The two new players play well and mixed in well to the score the pitch was poor and hard to play on. The score was 8-1 to them we played even better in second half good work by the back line, up front need more time to work together but it will come. After the game all was happy with the way they played and my man of the match goes to Anish Pandey for is good goal and hard work.
Keep on training as it will come … well done boys!
James reports on the U8s
Very challenging game for the under 8’s today, with multiple factors going against us especially the 3G pitch conditions and the harsh weather, both of which the team struggled with. Although efforts were positive dealing with this, physically we got dominated in all aspects of the game and it was noticeable that some players were not 100% focused to the match and let the opposition run through them before they could react in time.
Player of the match, discussed with Philip Castle, went to Lilly Wood who presented herself very well, making a great number of tackles and tirelessly running up and down the pitch trying to chase down every ball.
Martin reports on a well-earned victory in Faversham
Good result by the boys today against a physical Faversham team. The team looked a little bit rusty but still played some lovely football. So a good start to the season winning 6-2 with the goal scorers being Ollie 2, Billy 2, Kuba, Jack Brown. Solid debuts from Ollie Mitchell and Klaidi. Player of the match was Ollie Heard.
