Sunday briefly with Karl Terry Roofing: today’s results

Karl TerryWell, that was a weekend no-one could claim [on or off the field] was boring!

Managerial changes, vital wins for both senior squads, a first win for the U15 Colts and bagfuls of goals (for and against!)

childrens-christmas-party1Firstly, please note that all training is ON tomorrow (Monday) including the EKYL U10s. The clubhouse will be open from 4.30pm. For the U10s EKYL, your Christmas Party tickets are in the clubhouse so please see Dave Homewood. Can we have all money in now please from the other teams … hopefully you have sold out.

natural-hair-1This morning the seniors booked a place in the last four of the league cup, coming from behind to defeat Aldington 4-1 at Waterside. James Haylock-Ashdown (2), Tom Moon and Matt Wedge (pen) were on target for the Green; while Steve Cowell had netted early on for the visitors. In the semi final we travel to meet Ashstone Galacticos on 18 December. Scroll down for all of today’s local results.

U13s in 12-goal thriller

Well done Frankie who was outstanding in a 12-goal thriller with Staplehurst yesterday ... report to follow

Well done Frankie – outstanding in a 12-goal nailbiter with Staplehurst yesterday … report from David Spencer is below

It was a hard fought match this week where we were just trailing from the start and by half time the score was 4 – 3 against us.  In the second half we just could not close the deficit despite some near misses and the game ended 7 – 5 to Staplehurst.  A special thanks to Derek Baker who stood in as referee when our league referee failed to show.  Player of the match went to Frankie who was brilliant at the back defending and holding off many attacks and clearing several loose balls.  Well done Frankie 👍   See you all on Monday boys.

EKYL U10s
keyautotrade new logoThanks to Pat for all his work with the U10s EKYL squad; unfortunately due to work commitments he has had to step down and the reins have been taken up by John O’Neil and Ian Clark with immediate effect. Training will go back to twice a week now [Mondays and Wednesdays] so please spread the word. Next Saturday the lads are away to St Margarets and details are on the Events & Fixtures page.
