U14s miss out in goalfest

In-form Ilja was our U14s PoM today against Egerton

Today we welcomed Egerton to waterside in which was to be a 13 goal thriller the boys got off to a great start racing into a 2 goal lead through Jaden and ilja but some slack defending see Egerton fight back to draw level the boys were soon back in front when ilja tapped home a Conan cross 3-2 and just before the break Jaden got his second when he lached onto a through ball from Brendan and slotted home 4-2 which was the score at HT second half a mix between joe and Charlie cost us a goal 4-3 then ten minutes later ilja got his hatrick when he slotted home a pass from Lash 5-3 and then GIFT got another 6-3  chances were missed by ilja GIFT and Conan to close the game but it wasn’t to be and in the last 12 minutes the boys conceded 4 stupid goals to lose the game 6-7 unbelievable how they lost that game . MOTM this week was ilja for his hatrick and some good football down the left wing . Rob Finn.

Under 13s let lead slip to go down 7-6

Sam is our PoM in a thirteen-goal affair with S&B Hawks

U12s turn on the style but too late!

The U12s who had a mixed morning

The saying ‘A Game Of Two Halves’ couldn’t have been more apt today with an instantly forgettable first half but an inspired, well drilled second half!
The game started slow with both sides not looking like they were ready to play but shortly after that Rolvenden seemed to change up a gear, scoring goal after goal, some very flukey outside the box shots and some tap ins leaving us conceding 10 in the first half alone. However, Freddie Copham scored one to make it 10-1 at the break and the boys came of dejected as you can imagine.
Half time team talk seemed to make a huge difference though, and the players went back onto the pitch determined not to let the same mistakes happen again in the second half.
A quick goal for first time scorer Anuj Pandey set the tempo tapping the ball in at the far post from a cross from Callum Waters before they scored two more showing some of the form they carried forward from the first half. We took control after that with lone striker Freddie taking two wonderful chances getting a hat-trick to make the second half score 3-2 to Bromley Green but as we were already 10-1 down from the first half, the final score ended up 12-4 to Rolvenden.

Well done Jake!

MOTM this week was decided not on goals scored, but for commitment and for their defensive expertise in the second half especially although he was not certain he could continue at one point, playing the whole match and that was Jake Edwards. If his form can continue through to next week and the team remember what they did right in the second half, the next game against Biddenden should be an exciting watch. Thanks, James.

U10s manager delighted as Barnaby hits hat-trick

The under 10s ADYL team played away against marsh youth on a glorious day.
The match was very close in the first half with bromley green moving the ball around well. This continued in the second half and resulted in half time substitute Barnaby scoring a wonderful hatrick after some good link up play with David. At the other end Jamie made 2 good saves both to his left side with one heading for the top corner and the other heading towards the bottom corner. I am very proud with how all the players contributed and played as a team. Well done on a very good win. Cheers Grant

Hat trick for Barnaby!
