Happy birthday today to Mitchell Barrett!

Good luck to the U13s and U14s who leave for the ESF tournament this morning … it is the United Kingdom’s largest youth football event with over 35,000 players

More excitement with our Valiants U16s, under manager Aaron Maul, at Birmingham on Sunday for the Peoples Cup … good luck and enjoy!

Robbed! Ten men do us proud
Firstly, let’s congratulate Smarden who emerged cup victors last night at Homelands after a penalty shoot-out. Being behind and down to 10 men with the dismissal of Richard Floyd, the Green boys were brilliant in the face of adversity and forced the extra period. It was not to be as the villagers ended 6-5 shoot-out winners. However, and it is never sour grapes with me, a dubious offside goal for Smarden’s third and a terrible offside decision that denied Levii a normal time winner, were there for all to see. Add video evidence that suggests Matt’s spot kick was over the line in the shoot-out, and one wonders what the boys had to do to win! We will move on, and at least the haters were satisfied! My player of the match goes to Cameron Lumsden who had to come off late on through injury … but manager Ian Mace will give his own summary. A difficult season with work commitments ruining much of the planning but we now have a short break before preparing for next term.

Callum and Tyler our mascots tonight
