Under 16s report from Carl
Today we hosted a strong Kennington Juniors side. With the league being delayed it was crucial to get the boys game time with so many new players in the squad this year.
The result was irrelevant we needed to try things before points were up for grabs. Ultimately we lost the game 5-1 but that wasn’t a fair reflection on the boys work rate and at times quality they displayed. We have a much clearer idea after this game about how we will approach the season. Special mention goes to Jordan who was immense at the back on his debut and to another debutant Josh who kept working all game. He got his rewards with a well taken goal after being slipped through from midfield. We got things to work on in training this Wednesday boys and then we go again for next Sunday’s friendly with Ashford United.
Keep your heads up boys! Carl
