The U7s at training last night … this Saturday they are off to New Romney for the League’s Festival

Clubhouse opening times: Saturday 8am and Sunday 7.45am. Your host on Saturday morning is Zac (below) with Ilja taking over on his return from Hastings after lunch. Then on Sunday we open early with DH and Lashman on duty once he gets out of bed! Once again a request  – when parking, please do not block the emergency access to the field. We have a few busy weekends ahead so please, if it is reasonably dry, go through the gate and park on the field and not in the Swan Centre car park. Thank you.

January 2012 sees Zac amongst the awards … pint you owe me for this one mate!

Another great line-up of matches this weekend with our senior sides looking to maintain their impressive sequence of results. On Saturday, we welcome to Waterside Woodnesborough, whom we have had many a tough battle with in days gone by. Kieran Shrimpton and Lewis Lavel-Chesterton are expected to return to Ian Mace’s squad for a 2.45pm kick off. We also stage the Vets game against Whitstable with a 1.30pm start (squad is published below). Sunday sees a trip to South Road, Hythe where Master Brewer provide the opposition in the Sheber Cup. Formerly Sandgate, the Brewers sit in second place in Division Two. Shrimp and Connor Gower are likely to return while Glenn Mackett, Louis Burton, Jamie Hurst and Ashley Webster are absentees as Gary Gibbs seeks to keep the momentum going. Kick off 10.30am with meeting time at the club 9am. Meanwhile, the BGV Juniors are away in tournament action on Sunday (meet clubhouse 8am) and there is the usual training for the BG Girls and BGV older groups.

Glenn Mackett, seen here on Valentines Day 2011, is injured and misses Sunday’s match at Hythe
