Grassroots social media information is incorrect
In recent weeks information has been circulated concerning updated rule changes to youth football brought in by the FA. We can confirm that this is false and The FA have provided a statement to clarify their position on the matter.

FA Statement as follows:
“To clarify that whilst The FA are supportive of the spirit, the overall outcome of improving the standards and environment with youth football, we must stress that this is not an approved FA pilot.
There has been no oversight from us and we encourage you to relay this to others who may require clarification.”

Sponsored Penalty Shoot-Outs

Amongst a number of topics discussed at Wednesday’s Youth Teams Meeting was the Sponsored Penalty Shoot-Outs. At the moment, the following teams are entered: BGV all squads, U15s, U13s and U8s. It is hoped all teams will take part … so managers/admin please let me know by the end of the weekend whether or not your age group is to be entered. Shoot-outs will be at Waterside either during training slots or vacant dates to be arranged and profits will go towards your groups trips, equipment or kits. There will be awards for winners and those raising the most money for their team. I will distribute the official sponsor forms within the next few weeks. Thank you DH.
