Sunday updates

And then there were three … results from the Ashford & District Sunday League

Division Three
Ashford United 4-4 Sellindge

Sheber Cup
Channel CFC 3-2 Aldington
Grasshoppers 5-4 Red Heathens

From the KDFL tournament in Faversham:

Loyal clubman Stewart Blake is our BGV Adults A team Player of the Tournament this morning at Faversham

A valiant effort at The Abbey School today (no pun intended) as the BGV Adult A  side lost just one of their five fixtures, and that to a single goal. The remaining games were drawn so much to be pleased about. The B side are learning quickly and had a mixed bag of two draws and two defeats from their four fixtures. Well done all those who braved, once again, the awful elements!

A mention for the three lads that trained with Nick this morning … great attitude even though conditions were so bad we had to use the MUGA.

The Sponsored Penalty Shoot-Outs are nearing … all players are asked to participate and help raise money for your squad. Anyone not having the form, please contact Dave Homewood or pop into the clubhouse on Wednesday.

Good luck to our BGV Adults who have left for their tournament at The Abbey School, Faversham. BGV younger ones are with Nick for a 10.30am start (if possible, please bring footwear for both grass and the MUGA)

Results from yesterday in the Kent County League
Deal Sports Reserves 1-1 AEI Sports
Les Leckie Cup
University of Kent 10-2 Staplehurst Reserves
