Clubhouse open from 7.30am today … meeting times are on the Events & Fixtures page

Your hostess this morning is Leah-Ann

Good luck to all our teams today … you can’t win them all but wear your shirt with pride and enjoy! Free food and vouchers in the clubhouse afterwards … not a bad deal is it?

Tommy Piggott (Harris), Charlie Bryant and Bobby Mayes … there are club items for you to collect … please see Dave Homewood in the morning

As we publish, the only games off are the U7s, U12s and U16s who were all away. Grant is doing his utmost to make sure we stage all of our home games but even he cannot control the weather!

You all know the golden rule by now … unless you hear to the contrary, all games are on

As we cannot overspill onto the field while it is sodden, can we all please park really sensibly and not leave huge gaps between vehicles. Please also remember we do not have permission to casually park in the Swan Centre car park … some are still doing this and it does cause problems if the hall is booked out for, say, a wedding or party.

All the fixtures and meeting times are on the Events & Fixtures page where official updates of postponements will be published

Well, pending amicable weather, we have debutants today in Oliver Cole (U9) and Bobby Mayes (U13) … they are both great lads and will be positive additions to the Bromley Green family as we build for the future from within. Grant has also boosted his squad with the signing of Dexter (left) while Mark Fuller could make a late, late addition to his U15 squad on Monday before the deadline.

I am really impressed by all those making an effort to embrace the concept of the Sponsored Fun Penalty Shoot-Outs. The forms have been out for months but things are moving now in some quarters and Bromley Green’s facebook sites are reaping dividends. Remember, once the money for prizes has been taken out, every penny raised goes towards YOUR team … this can be trips, equipment for training, whatever you and your manager decide is most beneficial for your squad. The teams showing initiative are U6, U7, U8, U9, U10, U11, U12, U13, U15, BGV Juniors, BGV U16 and BGV Adults. If you don’t have a form, for goodness sake speak to me in the clubhouse this weekend. To join our official facebook sites, simply become ‘friends’ with me. Difficult for some I know! Dave Homewood

This year’s BGFC Juniors tournament looks like being a huge success with teams already queuing up to join in on 2/3 June. The invites are going out now but any team reading this that has not received the invitation and application form, is asked to please contact me asap davehomewoodbromleygreenfc@hotmail.co.uk
