Happy birthday today to Liberty Hone!

Training for the seniors this evening 6-7pm at Highworth School. Sorry about the early start but it is the only slot available. Anyone who can’t make it, please let Ian, Gary or Josh A know.

Training for the U10s tonight as per the schedule (refer to the Events & Fixtures page if in any doubt)

U9s manager Matt Church: “What a fantastic achievement!”

A big shout for the Under 9s who raised over £700 on Saturday at their Fun Sponsored Penalty Shoot-Out at Waterside. Oliver (left), with £236, led the fundraising list, Louis raised £125; but well done to all the children that took part and sincere thanks to the parents who made such a great effort in support. There are still a few to pay in and three players to take their penalties on a rearranged day/time. All those that take part will receive a thank you award at a later date and all the money, after prizes, will go to benefit the squad (manager, parents, players can choose how best to spend the money). Manager Matt Church summed things up calling the amount raised a ‘fantastic achievement’.

It is a bit of a cliche – however it really is the ‘taking part’ that counts in such events.

Congratulations to Tommy (left) who netted eight out of his ten spot kicks. Really close behind were Riley, Ellis, Charlie and Oliver all with six scored respectively. Well done all!

This Saturday it is the turn of the Under 6s and Under 11s – both at 10am.
