Dover keep Vanarama play-off hopes alive
Less than a handful of games survived in the county today with pride of place going to Dover Athletic who edged their way back into play-off contention with a 1-0 victory over Leyton Orient at Crabble. The only fixture to go ahead in the Vanarama National League was settled just seven minutes from time with a drive from Mitchell Pinnock. Dover move up to seventh while the Os are struggling in 16th place. Attendance: 1348.
Meanwhile neighbours Folkestone Invicta had to come from 1-0 down at the break to share the spoils with Harlow Town. Other Bostik League matches to go ahead were: Worthing 2-1 Billericay and Grays Athletic 3-1 Bury Town.
Happy birthday Saturday to former manager Martin Wirt!
KDFL message following Sunday’s Junior Tournament cancellation
‘After taking school holidays into account and the fact that it simply does not make sense in running back to back tournaments we have decided NOT to reschedule this tournament. All other tournaments will be played on originally arranged dates.’ Brian Gray
