Brief round-up of Sunday’s action
A deserved win for Market at Waterside in the Charity Trophy. A goal one minute before the end of each half brought our old friends a 2-0 victory and a place in the semi-finals. On target were former Green strikers Steve Harris and Gary Lockyer. Gary Gibbs praised his men and stated he “… had a great platform to work from”. Player of the match for the Green was Louis Burton. Next week the squad faces Ashford United and on the 8 April tackles Fox Sunday in the cup final at Homelands.
