5-5 but it feels like a loss

The Green side that featured in a crazy affair this afternoon

Very difficult to sum up this match, contested on a splodgy surface, that swung one way and then the other with Aylesford snatching a point right at the death with their second penalty of the afternoon. For spells, the Maidstone side belied their lowly league position and, if they field this line-up every week, they will upset a few sides between now and the end of the campaign. One-nil down, four-two up … plenty of onfield scraps; but ultimately the spoils were shared with the Green goals provided by Lewis Bagshaw, Matt Wedge, Jordan Griffin, Levi Lloyza and Connor Gower. Thanks to the band of supporters who braved the miserable Bank Holiday weather.

Another Green attack during a frustrating visit to Aylesford

No other games survived in Division Three today and in fact only six fixtures went ahead in the whole of the County League.
