[updated] The end of a long weekend …

Ramsgate Trinity Colts 0-2 Bromley Green

Player of the Match away to Ramsgate on Sunday afternoon was Yonas Tesfay … next week the boys are away to local rivals and leaders Ashford United

Great result away to 2nd in the league today, boys were solid and disciplined throughout. They never looked in danger and controlled the game. Special mention to Yonas and Jack H for taking their chances with great finishes. Yonas was our PoM today, a constant threat playing on the shoulder of the last man throughout and giving their defence real problems.

Training for BGV in the morning

Happy bunch … the Under 8s

The Under 8s who were superb at yesterday’s Spring Tournament

Sunny and a good day at Wye in the tournament. I asked all 9 lads to enjoy themselves and give me 100% which they all gave. Goals throughout the day from Jake, Tyler and Lucas as we proceeded to the quarter finals. Very proud of the boys and thanks for the help from the parents. Martyn Smith.

Well done Jamie who shared the PoM award

Youngsters superb but it is a home defeat for the seniors

With so many regulars missing for one reason or another, the mixture of youngsters and older heads held firm for over an hour against visiting Staplehurst Monarchs. Missed chances in the first half were to prove costly and, despite some terrific goalkeeping by Thomas Moon, the Green went down 2-0. Positives can be drawn from the spirit of the young lads.

Bromley Green 0-2 Staplehurst Monarchs
Deal Town Reserves 2-1 Ashford Athletic
Tenterden Town 1-1 Faversham Town Reserves
