Under 9s this morning at Waterside
Summary of the Under 9s from manager Matt Church: With the bare minimum of players the result didn’t quite go our way. All seven players worked really hard on a hot morning but with no subs it was always going to be hard. Well played everyone a great effort by all.
Under 10s summary from Rob Finn
Today we welcomed Pilgrims for a 9 v 9 friendly which was a cracking game. The boys coped well on the bigger pitch but with the heat and a bare 9 players they tired in the second half which allowed Pilgrims to score some goals. We pulled one back and had chances but couldn’t convert them but a good all round performance from the boys who put in a good effort. Well done Josh on the PoM award today .
Goals by Lashman and Nathan earned the U15s a 2-1 home win against Weald Wolves Blue. Sporting game with the Green ending their league campaign with a smile. Well done to Mark, Dave and all the squad.

Under 13s fight back from 3-0 down in seven goal affair
A crazy 10-minute spell proved costly at sunny Ball Lane on Friday night as the Green U13s missed out on the points after a seven-goal extravaganza against our friends from Kennington. The Green began brightly with Freddie Copham going close and Elliott Grace rattling the crossbar. But defensive slackness saw us go 3-0 behind before Freddie pulled one back just before the interval. After we had come back to 2-3 via Freddie again, before the home team notched a fourth, a tight finish ensued thanks to a strike from Jaime Littlejohn. Overall, a tad unlucky not to share the spoils but the lesson of a few minutes lack of concentration will hopefully not have been lost on the boys. The squad has one more game, at home to Park Farm Rangers, before preparing for their trip to Bognor for the ESF Tournament from 18-21 May 2018. Green: Oliver; Jake, Josh, Bobby, Igor, Elliott, Ike, Freddie, Charlie, Jaime, Anuj.
