Well, what an exhausting weekend!

Firstly, thanks to all those teams/players who came back to support our own clubhouse … especially the U9s (below) and U15s who were late finishing.

Well done Phoebe!

First report and photos in from the Under 13s

Very encouraging displays today from the Under 13s

Really pleasant and well organised tournament at South Ashford in preparation for next weekend’s Butlins tournament. The fixtures list for our U13s seemed heavily stacked against us with the likes of Chelsea Foundation and Maidstone Division 1 side Snodland U13s to contest with. We really couldn’t afford any passengers and everyone played their part!
Although every game had its highlights, for me the standout moment came from Igor playing in defence who took the ball down from a lofty ball over two thirds of the pitch, controlled it with one touch to trap the ball and another to get the ball out of his feet before raising his head rocketing the ball with his right foot directly into the top right hand corner, stunning the opposition team and fans whilst sending the rest of us into jubilation! Although, I can’t speak for the tournament over both days… but definitely in our group, Goal of the Tournament comes to mind!
That goal proved to be the only one for us in the end but with games ending 0-1 (Snodland), 1-1 (Dynamo), 0-2 (Chelsea) and 0-1 (Wye Warriors) with strong defensive displays from all involved we stayed in the game on every occasion. Part of this success came from our goalkeeper Oliver Bell who coincidentally was voted Player of the Tournament with some cat like reflex saves to keep it all to play for.
Very proud of all who took part! James Porter
Tournament squad: Oliver Bell, Jake Edwards, Igor Blejwas, Kieran Black, Anuj Pandey, Elliott Grace, Freddie Copham, Charlie Griffin,
Bradley Richards, Bobby Mayes

We report the sad news that Paul Featherstone has passed away. A lovely chap. RIP ‘Fev’.

Report and pictures from Under 10s manager Rob Finn

Today we played in the South Ashford Tournament at Sandyhurst Lane. There was some strong opposition and the boys found it hard as the games were only 8 minutes; but they put in a good effort holding some good sides.
Player of the Tournament today went to Preston for some outstanding defending  … well done to all that took part.

Great bunch!

Preston, our U10s PoT at Sandyacres on Saturday
