Under 11s report from Rob Finn

Today we welcomed East Kent FC to Waterside which was to be a thrilling encounter with both sides playing some great football and scoring some great goals. With the team short on numbers due to other commitments, the boys who did play gave 100% and 4 goals from Matteo Dookhun and one from Thomas Hawkins was enough for the victory. Alfie got POTM for some solid defending … well done to him for that
The league starts for us next Saturday and bring it on. Thanks to Neil Holmes for reffing the game and Grant Turner and Cam for running the lines … a great job.

U16s defender Charlie Ward to concentrate on athletics

Hi Dave I’ve made a decision to stop football as I am now doing athletics for Ashford Athletics Club. Unfortunately I’m unable to do both as training is Tuesday and Thursday and my running competitions are Saturday. I’d like to thank you personally and the club for giving me an opportunity to play for a great team. I wish the team all the best for the future. Charlie Ward
