Clubhouse open from 7.15am to after the U16s leave this afternoon

McDonalds vouchers: many of you are asking … they are due in next week! In the meantime ‘get by’ with £5 PoM vouchers from the club. Yet another perk other clubs do not offer for those that moan about the standing order!

Mixed bag as U11s continue brilliant form

*U11s: Rob and company were delighted with this morning’s performance – sorry not allowed to give score

*U14s: disappointing show away to Grasshoppers ends in a 4-0 setback to end winning sequence … Ollie N Bell wins the PoM award and £5 BGFC voucher

*U9s Colts: great stuff at Biddenden … no goals to report so we can’t upset some readers by giving the scorers!

*U9sDVS: manager happy

*U8 Colts looking good!

*Not a good day for Sid and the U13s

*U16s praised but no referee at Grasshoppers game – why? Ilja on target for the Green who had gone ahead via Ilja Seleznovs.

U9s Martyn sums up the inter-club derby with the BG Colts
We welcomed the Colts today – it was a tough game with chances for both teams knocking the ball about well. We got a bit complacent near the end but a very well done to both teams and would like to wish the very best to Damian for the season. A big thank you to Josh for being referee. Goals Tyler 2, Olly 1. Team Alfie, Joe, TJ, Brad, Jake, Tyler, Olly, Fred,  Callum. PoM Joe

Congratulations Callum … our U9 Colts PoM today

The U9 Colts are a happy bunch

U8s Colts
Hi Dave that’s a big well done to the Under 8 Colts today for some  excellent football at times. We still need to improve and the player of the match goes to our new player Jake.

Today we made the short trip to Ball lane to face Kennington and the boys were up for it with only 10 players available as Harrison had to pull out due to illness. The boys started brightly playing some great football passing the ball well and creating lots of chances in front of goal  – can’t go too much into that but I’m very proud of the boys once again. You all got stuck in and enjoyed yourselves which was nice to see. Well done to Matteo, Alfie, Kieron B and Thomas for getting on the score sheet with well taken goals. Also Matteo for getting player of the match for an excellent performance up front. Regards Rob.

Well done Matteo … our PoM today

U9s DVS
We welcomed Charing this morning for our league game. It was a bit of a slow start as maybe kids were still asleep with the early kick off lol. But I am glad to say that the boys upped their game in the second half and started to play football the way I know they all can. Gerrard getting my player of the match for his left foot effort (which I hope his dad will also reward him as we have been waiting a long time lol). Bring on training next week so we can get ready to do it all again next Saturday. ⚽⚽⚽ Thanks Dean ⚽

Well done Gerrard! Archie just has to show off his club jacket lol

U10s Colts super show today

Under 14s winning streak comes to abrupt end at Marsh Academy

Bromley Green U14s have been in terrific form over the past month or so but today was a throwback to last season with the number of foul throws surely eligible for the Guinness Book of Records. 4-0 to the Grasshoppers – report to follow …

Defender Ollie N Bell … BGFC voucher winner for PoM today

U13s … bad day at the office … but welcome back Kodi

Welcome back Kodi … not the result we wanted but that’s football!

Sid was not a happy bunny after a mauling by Mersham. “It’s not the result that hurts me, we all have these days against teams that should be playing at a higher level. What is unacceptable is people tapping up players. There is too much of this going on nowadays in amateur and youth football. It was blatant today and perhaps it is about time the authorities enforced Respect as well as preaching it. Poaching children doesn’t seem very respectful!”

Editor: totally agree with Sid. It is unseemly at any level but for little children it really is the pits in behaviour by adults. Turning a blind eye by the authorities is yet another example of the double standards that permeate our great game today.
