URGENT UPDATES Sunday 23 September 2018: award for Leah-Ann/Under 11 slideshow

Executive: please note there is a Committee Meeting this Tuesday at 7pm

Final knockings Sunday night

Well, what a week that was! Fluctuating with the highs and the lows most certainly. Starting with the grim stuff of Sunday morning. A 15-0 beating for the Sunday Reserves was compounded by the first team’s Kent Sunday Cup tie away to Weavering AFC not taking place as the kit was in one of the player’s cars which had broken down. It is expected, but not confirmed at the time of publication, that the match will take place next Sunday [watch the Events & Fixtures page for updates]. Meanwhile, the reserves are away to Charing Sunday Reserves.

Thanks to Lisa and Leah-Ann for all their help with the bar again … we could do with a couple more adults coming forward to ease the pressure … don’t be shy!

Final word on Saturday: read the reports but well done to all for fulfilling all of our fixtures at youth level. Monday is nearly here … have a good week everyone.

A reminder that the BGFC vouchers for Player of the Match must be used at the time of their presentation at Waterside – which should be immediately after matches and not midweek. Players are only eligible if they are present to support their team after games.

Sunday morning update: all Bromley Green Valiants activities are off today

Corny – but as Steve Mailey reckons I am aged 145 years, I can relate to this:
‘I wanna be 14 again and ruin my life differently … I have new ideas’

Sunday’s Juniors tournament is OFF due to the weather

For clarification, there is no Juniors BGV training on Sunday

Birthday greetings today to Matthew Wedge

Clubhouse open from 8.30am with DH for BGV Juniors trip to their grading tournament. LC will be your host from 9am. Please note some of you are taking the proverbial with your bar debts … make the effort to clear please … thank you!

Good luck to the Sunday firsts who make the trip to Larkfield to meet Weavering AFC in the Kent Sunday Cup (11am) and the reserves who entertain Ashford United Thirds at Waterside (10.30am). With Tom Moon returning in goal for the firsts, Sid Hone is hopeful of having Tom Messenger between the sticks with Grant Turner unavailable.

Training as normal for the BGV this morning – called OFF due to the weather

Leah-Ann rewarded for her hard work and commitment
