Updates: thanks to all those who are supporting our clubhouse bar this afternoon … still buzzing at 4pm!

Under 14s match report from Nicole Pepper

Match report: Slow start to the game today, however it was quite an even match throughout. Both teams creating chances but unlucky to not finish them off. We were unfortunate to go 1-0 bang on half time, lack of concentration left 2 players spare at the back post for an easy tap in.

Keeper Oliver Bell … U14s PoM

Second half we started a fresh and were playing like we knew we can, so it wasn’t going to be long before we got a goal back. With some great attacking play the ball fell to the edge of the box where Jake was there to smash the ball into the top corner. We then started to get on top and create more chances in quick succession. Two very similar goals to get us the win, one from Elliott and the other from Freddie. Both were struck straight over the goalkeepers head who was frequently off his line. A great game to watch from both teams and some very good. performances from us individually and as a team.

Training Monday and Thursday starting @6pm

Sunday reserves off the mark

Sid Hone nets for the Sunday Reserves in a 1-1 draw at Charing while an own goal is all we have to show in a 5-1 defeat at Weavering AFC in the Kent Sunday Cup. Reduced to ten men, Gary Gibbs is not a happy man to put it mildly! For the reserves, well done all the youngsters and quip of the day has to go to James Maguire “We drew 1-0”.
