Into the weekend …

Clubhouse open 8am on Saturday … everybody welcome!

Not a great deal on this weekend within the club – but those that do have action, make sure you enjoy yourselves

First off, we have the developing Under 7s and Alex will be keen to see if some of the training practices can be transferred to a game scenario as we welcome Jon Wright and his Ashford Athletic tiny ones. Have fun everyone, that’s the main thing!

Exciting times for our three U9 squads

The U9DVS squad have their own calendar!

The Under 9 age groups have attracted a lot of attention recently – and rightly so as the three squads are showing steady progression and wearing their club shirts with pride.

The U9DVS squad, seen above on their brilliant calendars, are off to tournaments at Crystal Palace and Brighton in the summer; while Martyn and the Under 9s are also playing on the Crystal Palace pitch. Meanwhile, the U9 Colts now have Zoe Hatton in charge of admin. The manager, Ilir, is away but the boys still have training Saturday morning (11am) as they look to build on their good form of late.

The St George’s Park opportunity has only been taken up by one team, the Under 11s with Rob and Timmy. The boys are already buzzing for the chance to play at the FA England training centre on 28 July 2019 plus an overnight stay.

Fund raising for all of the above is already under way with the Sponsored Fun Penalty Shoot-outs expected to raise most of the revenue. The Under 9s (Martyn) is already set for Sunday 24 February at Waterside and the official forms are in the clubhouse. Dean/Rob can you give me an idea of the dates you would like please and I will generate the forms … thank you. DH

Those that want to train in daylight hours during the long break, please let me know. DH
