Under 12s at Homelands this morning

Back home … well done Spencer … today’s BGFC PoM

Report from Grant Turner from a chilly Homelands

The U12s took on top of the table Ashford Utd at Homelands. The two teams battled each other and the high winds. BG worked hard in the first half into the wind but found themselves 3-nil down. Second half was a different story and BG started to get more of the ball and this resulted in a goal for James. Spencer was controlling the midfield and he went close. Ashford keeper made several good saves to keep them in the lead and Ashford scored a fourth at the end on the counter attack as BG continued to push. Well done James for his goal, well done all the boys. Man of the match goes to the hard working Spencer. Despite the score, a very good performance and a proud manager.

Under 12s this morning at a gusty and bitterly cold Homelands … more photos and report from Grant to follow (they are still playing as we publish!)

Under 7s loving it by the seaside!

We won’t give the score – even though it was a friendly and not a league match – but what a performance by Bromley Green Under 7s at breezy Broadstairs on Saturday! Three goals for Daniel, 3 for Kai, 1 for Edwin and 1 for Harvey. We played really well against a semi-pro youth team. Next week’s game is off now due to a party but Alex is hoping to fix up a friendly for 23 February. The squad, which trains at Repton on Thursdays at 6pm, can still take a couple more players as excitement is already building for next season when the young ones enter the league for the first time as Under 8s.
