Update: Green win 9-2 in Ashford Charity Trophy
Goals from the returning Luke Burdon (5), Matt Burdon, Ryan Carter (2) and Connor Little eased the lads through to the 3rd round in dreadful weather at Waterside this morning. Ashford United, who made a plucky comeback at the start of the second period with two quick-fire goals after a 5-0 interval scoreline, replied through Reece Hodges and Joe White.
Birthday greetings today to Martin Wirt!
Good luck today to the Sunday lads at home to Ashford United in the Charity Trophy (they are 5-0 up after half an hour) and the BG Junior Valiants who are away on tournament duty – just the weather for it!

How the managers saw it … these are the reports received
Under 9DVS from Dean Mansfield
This morning we had the pleasure of welcoming West Farleigh to Waterside. We started slow with the team looking like they had heavy feet, but we got better and better as the game went on.
The game was played in a very good manner and West Farleigh’s manager and myself were both over the moon with the game as it was great to watch.
Player of the match went to Jack who put in a great individual performance – also helping the team with his great work rate.
Under 8s from Bobbie Joseph
7-2 win today against Grasshoppers with man of the Match CJ with 4 goals (not allowed to give full name)
Under 8 Colts from Pat Penfold
What a great morning of football for the Bromley Green under 8 Colts who played away to Pilgrims it was a great game a football and a great send off for me as it’s my last game for Bromley Green so I wish them all the best for the future
Under 11s friendly report from Rob Finn
Today we travelled to Smarden for a friendly and what a game it was with both teams playing some great football with the Green coming away with a well-earned 4-2 victory. Matteo netted twice with William and Abdel adding further goals. Overall a solid team performance by all that took part with the defence, midfield and strikers all on top form. Next week we are back in league action when we travel to Wye to take on Wye Blues which should be another entertaining game.
Seniors playing Saturday
Mixed seniors team yesterday won 4-0 in their friendly with Lydd Town 3rds. Goals from Ben Harding, Corie Griffiths, Cameron Bruce and Zac Cowley. Good performances from Danny Dallas and Levii Loyza. Big thanks to Damion Truelove for stepping in as a late referee replacement.
