Eleven goals in a windy farce
Bromley Green 6-5 Fox Sunday
A ding-dong battle at Waterside that had plenty of action if not always a lot of guile. On target for the Green, reduced to ten men for the final quarter, were Luke Burdon (4), Levii Loyza and Connor Gower.
Clubhouse open Sunday from 9am with the Sunday seniors welcoming old friends Fox Sunday for a 10.30am kick off at Waterside. It is blowing a gale!

Under 11s … scroll down for manager’s summing-up

Under 16s pull off result of the day
Rye Bay 0-2 Bromley Green
A morale-boosting result for the Green U16s on the windy Sussex coast as Mark Fuller looks to end his reign on a winning note. Fuller, who will hand over the reins to Martyn Dalby and Jamie Hurst at the end of the season, was delighted with his charges who completely turned the tables on their poor performance last time out. Piotr took the Player of the Match while goals from Alfie and Ilja secured the points.

Matt Church reports on the U10s at home to Mersham
Today we welcomed Mersham to an extremely windy Waterside and despite the tricky conditions both sides played their part in what was a hard fought close game of football and in some instances the wind was blowing the ball faster than we could chase it. Bring on next week hopefully with less wind. Oliver, Max, Harry, Harvey (PoM), Ellis (1 x goal ), Lilly, Bobby, Riley

Another fine tussle with Pilgrims U9s

We had the pleasure of welcoming our friends from Pilgrims for the league game at Waterside. We played them only two weeks ago and like that game this was played in the same way. Both teams playing so lovely football. Watching kids football when it is like this on a Saturday morning sets you up for the weekend, because whatever the score is to see your own kid out there enjoying themselves playing the best sport in the world and having fun makes you come away smiling. My player of the match went to Alfie; he is a very skilful kid but now he is also showing us he can tackle and his work rate for the team is now unbelievable 😁 well played Alfie and team. 😁😁⚽⚽
Bromley Green Vets 5-5 Lydd & Marsh Vets
Fantastic entertainment with the ‘old boys’ sharing ten goals at Waterside on Saturday afternoon. Gary Penfold (2), Jamie Dobbin (pen), Matt Wedge and Ben Harding were on target for the Green. Great to see some old friends and a welcome back to Michael Wylie who is pencilled in to work with Alex Hebbes and next season’s U8s.

Under 8 Colts report from Joe Croxon
What a cracking game played by the Under 8 Colts despite the force 9 gale winds!
All players did exceptionally well with great passing, amazing tackles and some superb goals.
Player of the match goes to Tyler this week, who scored 5 goals for his team! Well done all.

Under 11s continue to shine … report from Rob Finn
Today we traveled to Wye to take on Wye Blues on a very windy morning. The boys didn’t disappoint and played some great flowing football and was outstanding in all areas of the pitch – a great performance by all and well done to Thomas for getting PoM today .
