Under 11s v New Romney by Timmy Russell
First game for our new-shape team as we begin the preparations for next season and very impressive. We played a good side from New Romney in a friendly and, with just a bare nine, we had to dig deep. All square at half time but our guests took the second half with some impressive finishing. Well played everybody and a special mention to Dave King of our valued sponsors McDonalds.

A spectacular overhead bicycle kick by Jordan Osborne rounded off a hard-earned 3-1 victory for the Green at Waterside this lunchtime against a High Halden side that deserves praise for never giving up the ghost. Alfie Glendinning opened the scoring for the Green, who had to settle for a 1-1 interval scoreline, and the same player netted again before Osborne rounded matters off. Encouraging performances by Freddie, Frankie, Lennon and Aiden while Kieron pulled off some terrific stops between the posts. Another useful three points as we look to end the campaign in a happy frame of mind.

Under 8 Colts
Bromley Green Under 8 Colts played Hawkinge FC in their final league game of the season, after going into half time with a draw, Tyler scored his 4th then 5th goal taking the team into the lead.
An absolutely fantastic game played by all, amazing passing, excellent tackles, and keeping the pressure on the opposing team throughout the whole game in wet and windy conditions with only 5 players.
Well done boys! Well deserved win today. Nicola

Under 9 Colts
The U9 Colts played away to Kennington on a superb pitch at Ball Lane in what was a very entertaining game well played by both teams.
The Green started well with some good passing especially from Aidan who was very composed on the ball with two defence splitting passes that Oliver did justice to.
Vinny, standing in for Jae, did well in goal and the defence of Callum, Daniel and Cyrus also had solid games.
Mel and Tommy showed their skills and Oliver and David were always a threat going forward. The drills and set plays in training are starting to pay off and the squad is slowly improving in their play.
Get well soon to Jae Jae from all at the Colts. Trev

This morning we travelled to New Romney for our league tournament. We only had 7 kids available but all done themselves and the club proud. Picture of Jack keeping his cool to slot his penalty home to take the penalty shoot out to sudden death. Then we had Aldy stepping up to take the winning penalty cool as can be, this gave us 3rd spot in the tournament. One very happy team as you can see from the picture.

Today we welcomed Smarden to Waterside for a friendly the boys got off to a good start with an early goal through Daniel 1-0 there was some brilliant football being played with some good passing being put together the boys kept attacking and it paid off Sam was brought down in the box penalty awarded which Harrison calmly slotted home 2-0 fair play to Smarden who kept battling but the defence handled everything thrown at them and just before the break Matteo made it 3 when sam headed across goal Matteo slotted home HT 3-0 .The second half started well with some great football creating chance after chance and same fired a shot from outside the box to grab his first of the match and made it 4-0 then minutes later he got his second with another great solo effort 5-0 despite the score Smarden never gave up but Preston Harrison and Alfie were solid at the back and won everything a great counter attack from Sam with an excellent pass into the path of Matteo who fired home to make it 6-0 they wasn’t finished yet and with 5 minutes remaining Sam went on a solo run and calmly firing home to make the final score 7-0 a great team performance by all was a hard choice for PoTM but I gave it to Sam for his 3 goals well done all. Rob
