Midweek updates

Happy birthday Thursday to Alex Hebbes!

Did you sort a trainer for tonight Alex?

Whoever you support … Spurs and Liverpool were just sensational and what a final we have in store. The last time England dominated European football, UEFA found reasons to ban all our clubs. Just beware there’s not another Blatter or Platini in the wings! To us neutrals, incredible stuff and good luck to Arsenal and Chelsea tonight. DH

Great turn out on Wednesday – well done! Good to see the U8 Colts numbers going up … we will get there; just need a permanent manager now

Birthday greetings Wednesday to Toby Galton!

Training on Wednesday is as per the schedule on the Events & Fixtures page

The sun is due to come out at 5pm … so ALL TRAINING IS ON WEDNESDAY

Huge disappointment for the Sunday firsts whose crucial match with Aldington, scheduled for Thursday at Waterside, has been postponed by the Ashford & District Sunday Football League. The squad now prepares for Sunday’s ACT tie with Market Hotel.

Thanks to the U9 DVS group who voted last night for their Player of the Season. Can all mainstream teams complete their voting this week – the forms are all printed out ready in the clubhouse for those that are interested.

Great to see Karen Greenfield at the club tonight … Karen was a terrific worker for the club for many years and will always be welcomed.

Well done William Spiers for extracting a fiver out of me for ‘hitting the bin’ … mind you, he had multiple goes whereas some of us can do it in one!

All tournament engagements are on the Events & Fixtures page.

U9s (Martyn), U10s (Pip/Andrew) and U11s (Rob/Timmy) … can we finalise arrangements now please for the Crystal Palace and St George’s trips. There is a big shortfall in payments in some quarters.
