Midweek … Youth Project Meeting tonight

Birthday greetings today to Penny Truelove and Ibrahim Zureiqi!

Training is as per the schedule Wednesday night … BGV please note Ellis will be opening just before 5pm as I am in a Site Management Meeting … thanks DH

Can managers not call training off unless absolutely necessary … conditions were perfect last night and there were some disappointed children … thank you

Can all groups put the goals etc away tidily please after training … it was left in a disgraceful state last week … thank you

True sportsmanship from Clapham Rangers U9 Colts

Clapham Rangers U9 Colts – winners of the U9 section and a credit to their club at the Bromley Green FC Tournament on Saturday

Green manager Dean Mansfield was full of praise for Clapham Rangers U9 Colts even though the U9DVS lads missed out on glory after a penalty shoot-out. “True sportsmen and a pleasure to play against”. Normal time and extra time failed to produce a goal in the final – but it was our visitors who edged the penalties. First class attitude by both teams … well done!

Wednesday 7.30pm … a chance to share ideas and talk to Executive members

Wednesday night: Youth Project Meeting when ALL teams should be represented. We don’t expect the manager to always attend – there are enough reps and parents to give a face/voice to your child’s team. Look forward to seeing every youth team represented 7.30pm in the clubhouse.

Why is attendance important? Because we are planning now for next season, deciding on registrations, policies and managers, and you can all have your say on the way we move forward – the only stipulation is that discussions are never personal but remain objective. The following are expected to attend please or send a representative: Joe Milton, Alex Hebbes, Tony Ward, Alex Potts, Michelle Potts, Bobbie Joseph, Mark Smith or Joe Croxon, Martyn Smith, Alan Land, Peter Oriji, Dean Mansfield, Tracey Smith, Danielle Burgess, Brian Jenkins, Zoe Hatten, Pip Castle, Matt Church (working so a parent stand in please), Gavin Brown, Robert Finn, Timmy Russell, Rachel Sheridan, Jamie Dobbin, Brian Petken, Jamie Spiers (apologies received), Sid Hone (working so a parent step in please), Grant Turner, Paddy, Lisa Copham, Maria Black, Nicole Pepper, Jamie Hurst, Jo Wyer, Mark Smith. If I’ve missed anyone out, you are more than welcome! An agenda via Power Point will be available on the night.

Well, time is slipping by and I have had just 3, yes 3, of the major awards returned for engraving. Poor show … sorry but I have been asking for weeks and it just isn’t fair on this season’s winners.
