Happy birthday today to Jordan Hinks!

Training Monday is as per the schedule on the Events & Fixtures page

What another splendid weekend! Thanks to all who supported our clubhouse and staff – really appreciated. Two of the Green Greats popped in with Gary Holloway sharing a pint on Saturday and seventies goal machine of yesteryear Les Farrant making a quick visit on Sunday morning.

Under 11s, playing a year up, miss out through lack of goals

BGFC Under 11s … played a year up and gave a good account of themselves but found goals hard to come by at the Park Farm Rangers Tournament on Sunday

Today we played up a year in the Park Farm Tournament and the boys  matched there opponents in every way with the games only being 8 minutes it was tough but they all put a shift in and played some nice football with all games being close well done to all players that took part today and to Charlie for getting player of the tournament. U8 Hurricanes – a performance of which to be proud

BGFC U8 Hurricanes who came so close in the final penalty shoot-out

Under 8 Hurricanes report by David Bridge

Squad: Daniel Smith, Alfie Potts, Charlie Andrew, Thomas Bridge, Nathaniel Bulman, Vince Ayavoro, Owen Page, George Preston and Louis Adegunle

It was another impressive performance from this team to go through the final of the Park Farm Tournament before narrowly losing the final on penalties.

The competitive group had very few goals but with some resolute defending and clinical attacking play the team won two and drew two – conceding only 1 goal.

The semi- final against Bialonians FC was equally tight before the team enjoyed penalty shoot out success with Daniel Smith outstanding in goal.

The final against Pilgrims swung both ways and in the end went to penalties.  Unfortunately, this time, the team could not repeat the semi- final heroics but left coaches and parents still proud to be runners up in this competitive tournament.

U10s in good form

Fine tournament display by the Under 10s

Matt Church reports on the U10s

We were drawn against all the tough teams in our group but on a hot afternoon at Sandyacres the U10’s played some of their best football to date. Getting praise from other team managers and parents on how much the team has improved. We ended up in a three way tie for top spot but narrowly missed out on a semi final place on goal difference. So proud on how everyone put on such a great display of football. Green squad: Max, Lenny, Brad, Lilly, Ellis, Bobby, Riley, Harvey (player of the tournament).

Well done Harvey – PoT for the Under 10s
