Rob Finn reports on Tuesday’s 10-goal thriller

Today we welcomed Park Farm Colts to Waterside for a pre-season friendly and what a cracking game it was with both teams playing some excellent football and scoring some wonderful goals Charlie pulled off some great saves to keep us in the game including a penalty Sam got a hat trick with Daniel and Thomas getting on the score sheet in a 10 goal thriller but with the bare 9 players tonight they all played well so well done Charlie Alfie Thomas Sam Michael Elizabeth Daniel Harvey Kavalli, PoTM went to Charlie for some outstanding goalkeeping. Final score 5-5 but won the penalty shootout. Thanks to Park Farm for an entertaining game and to Damion for reffing and Richard doing the line .

The Long Weekend has finished with both teams safely back from their adventures at St George’s Park. Awful weather finally turned to sunshine on Monday when we visited Thorpe Park. Loads more photos to come but below are a few from Sunday and the U11s.

St George’s Park Tournament report from Timmy U11s

We came up against 5 v good academy sides. The boys had a good go with all teams and narrowly losing 2-1 to an academy linked with Hull City. It was a great experience for them albeit v testing and a good team show at Thorpe Park afterwards. Well done to you all lads and a special well done to birthday boy Arilas pot. Thanks also to Michelle for helping with transport
