John Butcher reports on the inter-club U10s league encounter
Bromley Green DVS v Bromley Green Warriors
This week we played our club team Bromley Green Warriors.
We got of to a slow start and Bromley green warriors got an early goal against us. The boys settled though and started to get more into the game, Passing the ball better as the game went on but I have to say the warriors made it hard work for us. They have a mixture of big players in their team and some pace as well and made us work hard.
We had a few players on the scoresheet this week and Riley and Jack both getting a brace each which made it difficult for us to pick a POM but we got it down to a final 2.
This week we went with William , one of our defenders who put in a brilliant performance. Strong at the back , but helped in bringing the ball out and starting the play off and was pivotal in one of our goals.
A good game and nice to play another team from the club and well done to both sets of players

Under 11 Warriors report from Phil Castle

Hi Dave this is my match report after last week’s disappointing performance. This week we bounced back with some great football and superb passing from all the team. Charlie played in goal played well with Liam and Harley both getting 3 goals each; also Sabri scoring a great goal from outside the box. Reegan scored as well while there was solid defending from Archie and Tommy. Like I say well done again to my Warriors as you played like warriors. From one very, very happy coach Phil Castle.

Well done Liam – U11 Warriors PoM

Peter’s Under 10s are silencing the critics in the right way

Ethan Kennewell is our U10s PoM today after a brilliant result for the squad. Praise to all and great to see Cyrus growing in confidence … keep it up boys and girls.

Headcorn Juniors Tornado Jets v Bromley Green Hurricanes U9s

Squad: Alfie, Thomas, Nathaniel, Louis, Tyler, Ethan, George, Sean, Charlie, Owen, Daniel and Ibrahim

Another great performance by the team, who have had a really strong start to the season.  Straight from the kick off the team was immediately into their passing and moving with some really good football to watch. Charlie opened the scoring with a nice tidy finish before Sean opened his goal scoring account for Bromley Green. The second half continued where the first half left off, with the team continuing to play the ball around. George scored his usual poachers goal and Tyler completed his hat trick but not before he kept up his run in his own personal ‘cross bar challenge’.

Another great all round team performance with confidence on the ball from defence through to attack. However, the parents PoTM went to Charlie in midfield who was always calm and collected in possession, sweeping up in midfield before driving the team forward. David Bridge.

Weald of Kent Charity Cup exit to old rivals Sturry

Two goals from Charlie Wallis proved insufficient for the Saturday lads as we went down 4-2 at Waterside in an entertaining Weald of Kent tie. Good performances from Keiron Smith, Ilja Seleznous and Craig Clifford. Paul Wynter and Matt Wedge will draft former youth players Lewis O’Leary and Liam Dadd into the squad as the main focus turns to the league.
