Reminder to all teams that external venue training starts tonight (Monday). If in doubt please consult your manager/admin or Shane Cowley.
Briefly: Sunday seniors not at their best but come through 6-3 after extra time away to Folkestone Utd in the Bodkin Cup with goals from Richard Floyd (2), Luke Burdon, Ryan Carter and Connon Gower (2).
U18s endured another long trip to Thanet to meet Ramsgate Colts and despite a spirited display ended up on the wrong end of a 5-1 scoreline. Toby was our PoM with Conan scoring the consolation goal. Next up is yet another trip to Thanet to meet Ramsgate Youth while in the quarter-finals of the Cup on 17 November, we have been drawn against Deal Town Rangers. Yes, you’ve guessed it AWAY!
U12s Pirtek in all honesty were out-muscled by Gillingham Girls in the EKYL Cup at Faversham and need to buck up in time for next week’s crucial league clash against the same opposition. Weak in the tackle, and passing constantly to the opposition, we were deservedly 3-0 down at the interval to an exceptionally well-drilled outfit that was allowed far too much space. But credit to the boys for fighting back with two late opportunist goals from debutant PoM Harley White. 3-2 and disappointingly out of the cup. I will not criticise any of the nine that attended but some others need to question whether they want to commit to playing/training regularly or not. Training is now indoors on Thursdays – meet just before 6pm at Kingswood. DH
Simon Oldfield reports on the U9s super display
I have attached PoM photo from today’s game, Callum Noakes was the coaches’ choice. He played brilliantly.
I have also attached a few photos from the game today against South Ashford. I know we can’t publish results but for your information the score was x-x. The team played very well and it was the best game they have played so far. So a big well done to all of them. Simon
Match report utilitas u12s
Today we travelled to play hythe a team which are in the top of the league
We started slowly again and got caught early with 2 lucky goals we then started playing decent football and josh in goal made sure we didnt conceded anymore with some great saves
2nd half and hythe caught us again with a lucky deflected goal
Preston took over in goal and josh soon settled in centre mid bossing the opponents on the ball Charlie r put a lovely cross into the box phoebe con acted and it came off the post we kept bossing the game and another good 1.2 from phoebe and timmy see timmy pick his spot to fire home we had 6 corners in a row and then josh hit a 20 yarder and smashed the crossbar and timmy got onto the rebound and fired home welokked the better team and looked like we would get something but too late in the game even though we kept hythe in their half the goals didnt come well done to josh, preston, ben, harrison, timmy, charlie r, charlie b, kieran and phoebe great team performance expecially the 2nd half well done see you all training tuesday night at north 6 to 7. Bromley Green Hurricanes U9s v South Ashford
Squad: Alfie, Thomas, Nathaniel, Louis, Tyler , Ibrahim, Sean, Ethan, Charlie, Owen, Daniel and George
Another excellent performance from the Hurricanes, who continue to go from strength to strength this season. A quick start with some fluid passing moves saw the team score some quick goals from both Sean and then Alfie. After that both teams settled well with some excellent performances all over the pitch. A neat passing move from the defence to the attack resulted in Alfie grabbing his second goal before half time.
The second half continued as the first one ended with some strong defending and confident passing on the ball. Further goals by Tyler, Owen and Thomas finished off a very accomplished performance.
Overall a well rounded performance, defending and attacking as a team. However, for his battling performance and his eye for a pass in the middle of the park, the Parents PoTM went to Sean. Congratulations Sean and the team.

Under 10s DVS impress at New Romney
Stand-in manager John Butcher’s comment after another great squad performance at the Marsh Academy: ” … can’t wait until we become competitive”. The boys were great today with goals from Gerrard, Cameron, Aldi and Jack. Two players of the match in Wayne and Gerrard. Well done everyone! Report from John below:
Today we were away to New Romney in our first league game for a few weeks and what a relief to finally play a game of football again.
So far this season we have had some fine results with some really strong performances but I have to say that today might have been the best and most complete performance I have seen from this young team. Right from the off we played with real composure. Not rushing thing, passing the ball around really well and the kids taking their time to look up and pick the passes well.
Every player today played to their capability and we had 4 separate goal scorers on the sheet today . Gerrard opening the proceedings with a fine header at the back post, Cameron winning the ball high up the pitch and heading straight for goal with a neat finish, Jack receiving a lovely ball in the box with great control and finishing and Aldy forcing one across the line when the keeper fumbled the ball.
Every goal was a team effort though with lots of possession and some really strong build up play. Defense was strong today and I can’t think of one time a ball got passes Rhys at the back, midfield worked hard when they needed to and gave little to our opponents, and our wingers and strike force created plenty of space and used their pace really well. It was tough for Dean and I to choose a POTM today with such a strong performance, so we had to go with 2 players and the awards went to Gerrard and Wayne who I have to say worked his socks off today and battled hard and did not stop running.
That’s 8 successes in a row now and we look forward to next week.
