U9s Hurricanes in pleasing form
Observing a minutes silence Green Hurricanes and Kennington Colts Well done Louis!
Bromley Green Hurricanes U9s v Kennington Junior Colts
Squad: Alfie, Thomas, Nathaniel, Louis, Tyler, Ibrahim, Ethan, Charlie, Owen, Daniel and George
A well-observed minutes silence commenced a really entertaining game between these two competitive teams. The team continued were they had left off from the past few weeks passing the ball around well with Charlie hitting the bar within the first minute. The first half continued in the same vain with the team pressing for the opening goal but Kennington defended well.
The second half was great game of football with both teams having chances. It was probably our best game of the season with outstanding performances all over the park but parents PoTM went to Louis for his solid defending today. Congratulations to Louis and the rest of the team.
BG U8s Global manager’s summary
Sent from BG Global looking to improve on performance we’re home to Wye in the fog. BG started brightly with Tyler scoring early, captain Daniel V was next to get on the score sheet after a nice passing move, his 2nd came soon after with a brilliant free kick. Tyler scored again with a nice chip again after a high press and passing move, which has been missing in recent weeks with Green looking dominant and confident. Tyler in goal was tested with a few shots and some good closing down of the Wye forwards. Green scored again through Daniel V. With Wye pulling a goal back just on strike of half time – a well taken finish off a corner clearance beating Tyler at the near post.
Green continued to dominate the 2nd half and were unlucky not to score again with the Wye keeper saving well with a tip over from a distance strike. Daniel V finally settled Green’s nerves dancing past the Wye players and a good 1-2 with man of the match Edwin to smash past the Wye keeper. Overall a brilliant display and the players should be proud of how they played especially in the first half where we played some great football. Alex Hebbes
