Happy birthday Tuesday to Toby Furner!

Training as per the schedule Tuesday evening

Note from Lisa: all new ADYFL registrations and transfers will require the player to pay the league charge of £10 from now on. Sorry but it is costing us a lot of money – so choose your new signings carefully please.

Under 12s McDonalds manager steps down

We can confirm that Rob Finn has stood down from the U12s managerial post with immediate effect following Saturday’s defeat at Waterside. Firstly, we wish to thank Rob for his hard work in what has not been an easy few months and hope he will stay with us in another capacity. The team will now be under new management and the Executive will make an appointment this evening at its meeting. Can all registered players please train on Wednesday at the North School on the 3G (please arrive just before 6pm).

From Gary Gibbs

Hi Dave today we played an organised Nailbox side. We were slow to get going but that I think was down to too much Xmas pud.  After 40 minutes monster Griffin broke down the wing and delivered a low and hard shot which could only be slid in by the defending team to make us go in 1-0 at the break. Second half was a different story with the back four and Lou sucking up everything Nailbox had to throw at us. Once Luke put his shooting boots on he grabbed himself an easy hat trick. Ryan Carter grabbed himself a goal for his efforts and Stuart grabbed a tap in on his return from being a silly boy. Another great result gents keep it up.  MoM for me could have been any of the back four but I’m going to give it to young Reece Annad who showed an experienced head on young shoulders.

Under 18s report from Dennis Monk

Bromley Green 5-3 Ramsgate

Having a long period off with no games, you could see the boys were struggling with their fitness and also having a very big squad to choose from made it very hard for me to keep a team on the pitch. Got to say our new signing Aidan Harding man of the match today was outstanding and goals from Dan 2, Ilja 1, Nelson 1 and Conan 1. Unfortunately wrong information by the referee may have spoilt the game but that was a general mistake by the referee saying we can have 18 players but it’s a learning curve for me for the next one. Also we have 18 players signed on but only 13 kits we need to do something about this ASAP as I spoke to the boys today and they all want to play.

Aidan Harding – outstanding in today’s U18s victory over Ramsgate

From Dave Homewood

A single goal victory at Whitfield brought us maximum points but it should have been a more comfortable victory for the U12s in the East Kent Youth League. As it was, the decider came during the first period from Preston Webb. Everybody tried their best in cloggy conditions and we look forward to welcoming the same team to Waterside next Sunday (2pm kick off). Player of the Match went to William Spiers for his determined first half display whilst Harrison Petken, Thomas Hawkins and Henry Barnes also caught the eye. Thanks again to parents for their support.

Charlie, William and Preston happy with their win today
