Excellent turn-out at training this evening and thanks to all the managers and coaches. Special mention for Hollie, Jake and Benn who are getting the BG Junior Valiants going again. More friends coming next week plus we hope Rylan is soon fit.

Excellent display by Bromley Green U9s Global

Friendly so we can give details. Rhinos Whites 1-3 Bromley Green. PoM Daniel Vincent [left] with the goals coming from Edwin, Tyler Q and George. Happy managers! Well done all!

U13s Pirtek report from Richard Hawkins (away Hawkinge)

Bromley Green Under 13 Pirtek battled hard against a physically-strong Hawkinge team on Monday evening.  The home team dominated our midfield for large parts of the first half, but stout defending and some fine saves from Harvey kept the scoring chances to a minimum. The opponents usually play in Div 1 and our Div 4 team gave them a game.  A little bit of naivety and nervousness on the ball ultimately led to goals being conceded to a rapid striker.

The second half started off with some changes to formation and it was great to have a squad to be able to regularly substitute players from.  The Green matched our opponents better in this half and for long periods were playing some really good passing football.  Two really good chances came our way through fine passes from our midfield, but were narrowly missed.  Taking these chances will be important as we go into the league.

Lots of lessons learnt- the need to use the whole pitch- passing out wide from our midfield rather than back into the mire- being the biggest one.

Thank you to all who played and came along to support.

The team and coaches voted Archie as player of the match for a great display of tackling playing at the back- well done Archie.
