[updated] Wednesday 24 February 2021 with Utilitas

Update – Ashford & District Sunday League has declared 2020-2021 season as null and void. However, games will be arranged and our side will have the option of starting fixtures on 11 April in a group style Sheber Cup with the season ending on 30 May 2021. The final will be played behind closed doors. Further details here when we have them.

Happy birthday Wednesday to Lenny Trott and former Green stalwart Richard Holtum. Dicky, 67, a fine cricketer, was part of the renaissance of the club during the seventies after years in the doldrums. In those days, we only played on Saturdays, and Dicky made 60 senior appearances and notched 4 goals.

Update – for Seniors, U18s, U16s, U15s, U13s Utilities, U12s DVS, U12s McDonalds, U11 Emeralds, U10s Hurricanes, U9s Dream Team, U9s Global, U8s DVS and U5s Academy training slots and times, please refer to the 2021 Events & Fixtures page

Whisper it quietly – but we are starting to book training slots!

Utilitas U13s resume training on Weds 31 March 2021 5.30-7pm at Waterside. New faces always welcome.

Updates EKYL will conduct a survey on Monday to ascertain the wishes of clubs regarding if/when/how to complete the fixtures. ADYFL are anticipating starting fixtures on 10 April 2021 but this has to be conformed. Bromley Green managers please feel free to train at the club from 29 March 2021 (day or evening) and, if you wish to use the MUGA, please consult with DH to avoid double booking. Please keep well away from contractors and plant etc. For seniors, we are waiting to hear from the Saturday and Sunday Leagues. Further news as and when it arrives.

Happy birthday on Tuesday to Hudson King and Emeralds U11 starlet Catalina Oldfield!

Big thank you to Executive Committee member Simon Oldfield, who has volunteered to take up the post of Fire & Building Safety Officer. Simon has 5 years experience as a firefighter and also as a KCC fire extinguisher maintenance engineer.

FA Statement … looking like 29 March for return

We welcome the UK Governments update today regarding the Covid 19 roadmap for easing the lockdown restrictions which means we can look forward to the safe return of Grassroots Football from 29th of March for both adults and children.

With this new clarity around timings, we will continue to work with government on plans for a safe return for grassroots football across England and will communicate updated guidance as soon as we can. We can also confirm that the 2020/21 grassroots season has been extended until the end of June in order to provide additional flexibility in times for leagues to complete their fixtures this season if they wish to do so.
