- Biddenden v Bromley Green Hurricanes U10s – David Bridge reports
Squad : Tyler, Thomas, Ethan, Owen, Charlie, Ibrahim, Alfie, Sean, Ibrahim, George, and Nathaniel
After a few friendly games it was really good to get the team back to the league matches. The game started with Bromley Green on the back foot for the first 10 mins and went behind to a deflected shot. However after the first 10 minutes the team started to get their confidence back and started to play the ball around to pre-lockdown levels. The game was soon level with a accurately drilled shot from Owen into the bottom corner from Sean’s delightful cross to the back post. Both teams continued to push forward but possession and shots certainly going in our favour.
Second half started similar manner with the team spending a lot of time in Biddendens half whilst the defence kept things solid at the back. A great corner from Biddenden was touched home at far post to fall behind against run of play. This team never give up though and Sean fired the team level (via a slight deflection – but definitely Sean’s goal). A few more chances both ends in a great game by both teams.
POTM was difficult with some great performances all over the pitch today but for his impact on the game, it went to Ibrahim. Outstanding on the wing and his skills on the ball could even put the great Bobby Moore legs in knots. Well played Ibrahim and the rest of team. Good first league game back.
Above top the squad at Biddenden and below Ibrahim again taking the accolades – well done all!
Match report from Sandyacress by Chris Barker
U12s McDonalds welcomed High Halden Hornets in the cup this morning. We had a full squad with two debutants (George and Isaac) and one returning in Lenny.
We started off a bit slow and found ourselves 2-0 down at the HT break.
We came out second half and matched our opponents but let in another two goals to make it 4-0. A superb free kick and a good finish from birthday boy David Truelove made it 4-2 and we were unlucky not to get more with a few missed chances.

PoM went to Henry Barnes for some brilliant link up play in midfield.
A few things to work on in training Tuesday but the signs look good.

Leo and Daniel both hit four – U9s Global report from Alex Hebbes
Today’s performance was an absolute privilege to have been a part of. Global moved the ball quickly playing some nice intricate passes to create numerous crossing opportunities on the opening 5 mins before they took the lead with a shot off the inside of the post by Daniel V, we followed up again 3 mins later with another great strike from Dan V, the next goal came from George C who smashed a shot into the top corner. After a number of subs the next goal came 22mins into the first half with George netting again, a quick fire double in 25th and 26th minute gave Leo his first 2 goals of the game, not to be finished he completed his hat trick 5 mins later. Staplehurst pulled a goal back with a hard drive into bottom corner that goalie Tyler couldn’t do anything about. 2nd half Green shuffled the pack again with Tyler Q getting a well deserved goal after creating numerous chances in the first half to extend Green’s lead, green scored again with George netting into the far corner for his hard trick, Dan V getting his 3rd with a lovely finish into the far corner, Leo netted again for his 4th, 2 mins later Ethan popped up with his first ever goal with a blast off the knee, Ronnie almost scored with the keeper saving well onto the post. Numerous opportunities for Green to score were missed but Daniel V netted his 4th and finally the scoring ended with Daniel E popping up with a strike that deflected off the defender and into the net.
The whole team win the player of match award as too hard to pick just 1
