Under 12 McDonalds report from Raymond Barker

Bromley Green 5 ā€“ 2 Wye Juniors

Bromley Green completed the double over Wye at Sandyacres.  Goals in the first half from Oliver Burrett (2) and Daeyaan Naunkp. Some slack marking allowed Wye to score twice before half time giving the Green a 3-2 lead at the break.

In the second half we played some excellent passing football to set up Harley White and Oliver to score to complete his hat trick. An overall good team performance. McDonalds PoM went to Harley for some excellent defending. All credit to Wye for an excellent sporting game.

Several players have vouchers to come ā€“ lets present them on Tuesday evening at training please – DH

Well done Ben … PoM for the U13 McDonalds squad – match summary to follow

Utilitas gallant effort pleases Timmy

Today we finally had a starting 11 and played 2nd place South Ashford
What a great performance after going 2 nil down. Goals from debutant MJ and Qrez bought it level at 2 -2 and, if we had the 2 players who were missing, we could have gone on and won it. Oscar had 1 disallowed and, as we started to tire, the opposition netted a couple more goals towards the end. We finally went down 5-2 – but what a great team performance. Well done all. Player of the Match was birthday boy Josh.

Under 14s Skoda Caffyns report from Grant Turner

Today saw BG U14s take on Hythe at their ground, we had 12 players including debutant Hossam who has only had 1 training session with the team with 3 senior players out due to injury and a birthday. Both teams started brightly but with 25 minutes gone BG found ourselves 2 nil down and Jamie our goalkeeper picking up a knee injury which forced him off. Riley stepped up and tool over as keeper leaving us with a bare 11 players.

BG kept working har and at half time it was 4 nil. The team continued to press and give everything they had in the second half but with the team tiring Hythe put us to the sword. Final score was 12 nil. Hythe chose Chelsea as their player of the match. As for mangers player I chose Riley, as he stepped up into a difficult position which is not a position he plays, he gave it his all and kept the teams heads up with his communication and motivation. We’ll done to both Chelsea and Riley. As manager I know the score is not the best but I can’t fault the effort, desire and motivation of the team today they gave everything they could and I can’t ask for more than that so well done to all those players playing today I am proud of the effort you put in.

Early reports … and it is good news with Hurricanes, Dreamers, Global and MILCOL impressing

Bromley Green Hurricanes U10s v TSS

Squad: Ethan, Thomas, Tyler, Charlie, Owen, Sean, Ibrahim, Louis, Alfie , George and Nathaniel

Another entertaining game of football against some old friends at TSS to continue our great return to action. The game started quite slowly for us and we quickly fell behind to a TSS team playing some really good football. The team had to stay organised and defend well but we went further behind to a good move from a TSS corner. However, this team never let their heads drop or give up and started to get a foothold in the game. Started to play as a team and Sean played a great through ball for Alfie to run in on goal and calmly stroke the ball home to get us back in the game

After half time the game continued in the same manner with the defence having to hold firm but always a threat when we attacked. A nice repeat of the first goal resulted in another clinical finish by Alfie to pull us level. The game was then end to end but the team stuck together and Tyler smashed home a free kick from 40yds to take the lead. Some outstanding goalkeeping again from Ethan and resolute defending from the team, we finished the game strongly.

Some good performances all over the pitch but POM went to Alfie today. Worked hard to hold the ball up, linking up the play and his two goals – well played Alfie. Well done Greens – continuing our successful run in the return to league games. David Bridge

A double for Alfie plus the Player of the Match award

Global and Dream Team summaries from Alex and Tony

Comfortable game for BG Global away to Rhinos with goals from George direct from a corner, Dan V x2, Bradley and Edwin. Dan V was unlucky to not get a hat trick with a free kick that cannoned off the bar. Bradley also hitting the post twice. Green were largely untroubled at the back, much better performance. Player of Match was Daniel Vincent. Alex Hebbes.

Hi Dave
So we played away against Park Farm Colts
This was a game where we controlled it from start to finish, the kids are definitely now a team with identity and are learning to play to their strengths.
We took a deserved lead into half time, before being pegged back when Kai tried his best at being a defender, which he is not – but he tried!
Then as we got our defence back settled and the players back where we needed them, the team found the next gear and scored a couple more.
Great team work and most of all some happy children enjoying their football.
Goals Kai x 2, Bubba x 1. Tony Nelson.
